Silesian Landwehr Infantry Regiment - finished unit

Two battalions of an other Silesian Landwehr Infantry Regiment were painted by my friend Krisztián Takács. Check out his blog: https://miniaturesoldiers.blogspot.com/ I only did the basing of the figures.

The first battalion has white, and the second has red shoulder straps.

Ottoman Turkish heavy infantry - finished unit

One of the favourites among my wargaming stuff are the Ottoman Turks. I have started to paint them as an enemy for my Hungarians, but I fell in love with the topic. As the 500th anniversary of the battle of Mohács (1526) arises I would like to improve my Turkish force for the purpose of the event. Together with a couple of other Hungarian wargamers we are planning to replay the battle on the anniversary.

My second Silesian Landwehr Battalion - finished unit

I had painted one battalion of Silesian Landwehr earlier this year. Normally Landwehr regiments had 3 or 4 battalions and Landwehr troops made up the bulk of any Prussian Army between 1813 and 14. Therefore I need to paint many of them.

Somewhere in Saxony, 1813 - Battle report

As I wrote several posts about it - there is an annual historical wargaming event in Hungary, called Historikum. This time together with my friends we set up a Napoleonic game.

Prussian 6pdr foot artillery battery - finished unit

Artillery is an essential part of any Napoleonic era army. The next unit of my Napoleonic late Prussian army is a foot artillery battery.

Silesian Landwehr Battalion - finished unit

The Landwehr made up the bulk of the Prussian troops after 1813. Many infantry and cavalry regiments were raised. The biggest proportion of Landwehr came from the Silesian part of the Kingdom of Prussia, they had yellow facings on their uniform.
