2nd Battalion of the 2nd West Prussian Infantry Regiment - finished unit

The second unit completed for my Napoleonic Prussian Army is the 2nd Battalion of the 2nd West Prussian Infantry Regiment.

This unit is an ideal choice for wargamers, because it took part in most of the importaint campaigns between 1812 and 1815. Originally the regiment was formed as the 58th Infantry Regiment in 1797, but during the reorganisation of the Prussian Army it became the 7th Line Infantry Regiment in 1808. It is also called 2nd West Prussian, because it was the 2nd line infantry regiment of the Military District of West Prussia.

The Prussian infantry regiments had 3 battalions after 1808: 2 musketeer and 1 fusilier battalions. I need to paint the remaining two to complete my regiment.

In 1812 the regiment provided it's 1st musketeer and fusilier battalion and saw action against the Russians as an ally of Napoleon.

The unit was present in the following battles from 1813 to 1814: Gross Görschen, Bautzen, Fresden, Kulm, Leipzig, Etoges, Laon and Paris.

Also it was a part of the Prussian Army of the Lower Rhine and fought at Ligny against Napoleon.
