My new wargame project will be the Hungarian War of Independence of 1848-49. This is an interesting part of military history because it was more than a revolution and had similar warfare to the Napoleonic age.

I had to pause my wargaming hobby for several months because of my school obligations. This summer we could gather again with my friends and set up a huge 15th century battle with 7000 point armies on both sides.

Akıncı cavalry - finished unit

After a long time of silence, I am back again. During the pause I did not spend any time with wargaming. Inspite of this a unit of akinci light cavalry was successfully finished and my collection got a new storage cabinet with 7 shelves! It was urgent to increase my storgae capacity because of the continiously growing number of figures.

After one-and-a-half-month of silence I am here with my newest unit. I got the figures in December however I was lazy to paint so the process was really slow.

Ottoman Empire vs. Kingdom of Hungary - battle report

My Ottoman Turkish army is not big enough to fight a battle with it. However this weekend I could organize an Ottoman versus Hungarian battle with my friends because they have far enough figures to set up a large Ottoman army.

Ottoman army - new year project

As we are approaching the end of this year, I started to make plans for the next year. The decision was not too hard: I am planning to put together a 15th century Ottoman army next year.
It will be useful as an enemy for my 15th century Hungarian army and I also know other wargamers who are interested in this period. In this post I want to give details about the historical background, useful rules and figures of this project.
